Skye Jamieson is a painter based in the Northern Rivers in Australia. Jamieson’s practice approaches painting as a form of prayer. Her studies were at the School of Art and Design at the Australian National University in Canberra (2013–2021).
Jamieson’s practice is grounded in a sense of devotion, her studio operates as a contemplative space where preparation, ceremony, and the intelligence of harmony guide the apparition of each work.
Daily walks form part of her practice, extending the studio into the landscape and attuning her to the rhythms of her environment.
Through abstraction, Jamieson seeks to give form to experiences of presence.
